THE TRAVELS ARE ONLY VALIDATED AND BIKEPACKER CONSIDERS A "FINISHER" IF:
- 18 years old and above;
- Circulate in accordance with the Portuguese Highway Code (PER) - use a front white light and rear red light for night (between sunset and sunrise) and in conditions of poor visibility;
- Acting in the spirit of this event. One should behave in a manner that does not affect the reputation of this event, promoters, and sponsors;
- Usage of a human powered vehicle;
- No trading of vehicle during the event;
- Departures and arrivals from the "spot" point, and crossing at the “check-in areas” is mandatory;
- Make the crossing of natural water courses (rivers), using a boat or ferry, making the shortest route, not taking advantage of it;
- Aiding or receiving help from other bikepackers can only be done in cause of an emergency;
- One may not have any kind of third party support. All food, beverages, equipment, and spare parts must be carried by the bikepacker. For example; the bikepacker can replenish groceries, rent a room, use the laundry service, or repair the vehicle in any commercial space that is available on the route. Any service used, must be commercially available to all. Refuelling and private accommodation (not commercial) are strictly prohibited. Family and friends are welcome (and encouraged) to animate the bikepackers in crossing, but cannot in any form provide support or shelter;
- Complete the event within 24 days;
- Do not perform more than a single foray outside of Portuguese territory, i.e., an exit and entry;
- Demonstrate permanently, from the first to the last kilometer, the fulfillment of the crossing through the sharing of its real time GPS position (plataform: www.livetrack24.com);
IN THE EVENT OF NON-COMPLIANCE WITH ANY OF THE RULES, THE PROMOTER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY ANY "FINISHER" AND WILL REMOVE ANY INSCRIPTION ON THE WALL. THIS LIST OF RULES IS NOT EXHAUSTIVE, USE COMMON SENSE TO AVOID SURPRISES.
